Talent International is partnered with an exciting diagnostics company seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and experienced individual to support our clients Instrumentation Platform as a Field Application Scientist. As a member of our client’s Sales and Support team, the candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team which includes product development scientists, engineers, sales representatives, marketing and service employees. You sometimes will be wearing multiple hats such as pre and post sales support but the primary responsibilities will be to lead instrument and platform installation at the customer sites, work on cell analysis software, and troubleshooting customer assays.  Additional responsibilities include technical support for customers, creation of customer facing educational and application materials, conference attendance as well as assisting in product demonstrations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide pre and post-sales technical and application support in response to field sales requests, customer inquiries (both internal and external), including application development, documentation education, customer training, and on-site visits
  • Work independently and with team members to develop and update workflow applications and educational content for customer training in the form of training manuals, quick reference guides, videos and seminars


  • Take part and help organize educational events and conferences


  • Prioritize installations, demos and projects so that core job functions are accomplished


  • Be able to expand territory into new accounts by following up on leads, cold calling, meeting with customers and prospects regularly


  • Build new customer advocates by identifying potential key opinion leaders


  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned




• Bachelors in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or higher degree


• 3+ years of hands on sales and/or field service experience with biotechnology workflows


5+ years of experience with MS degree is preferred


• This position requires extensive contact with customers and therefore outstanding

written and oral communication skills are required


• The ability to work independently with little supervision and a strong work ethic is critical


• Ability to travel between 50 to 70% within North America will be required
