A quickly growing Networking Team is looking for an experience Network Design Engineer to provide network design inputs for the creation and review of necessary documents, including blueprints, CAD files, VISIO files, Installation Guides and schematics to the build out of patient monitoring systems. In this role, the Network Design Engineer will work with project management and installation services to ensure proper design standards and processes are followed, and that priorities are properly aligned.

How you will make an impact:

  • The Network Design Engineer is responsible for the creation of the network system design of documents for each planned installation within the Monitoring Business Unit
    • Reviews all installation orders and posts all documents related to each order on the company’s internal database
    • Orders necessary installation supplies for each installation planned
    • Develops network and antenna system designs
    • Develops design documents for presentation to patient monitoring customers
    • Designs documents including, but not limited to the following:
      • Cable pull plan
      • Network topology diagram
      • Antenna system schematic
      • Network Switches
      • Network Switch Configurations
    • Ensures that installation documentation is correct, complete and completed on time
    • Reviews work, addresses questions, and assists with all aspects of design plans
    • Provides necessary information as requested by Technical Support and Repair Center
    • Completes projects or other duties as assigned or required
  • The Network Design Engineer assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with employees and customers
    • Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously
    • Politely obtains and conveys information as needed
    • Maintains the Company's professional reputation

What you can bring to the table:

  • Technical or Engineering College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification in Networking or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of network planning experience with extensive knowledge of networks, cabling, and/or general construction or design planning
  • Strong client interfacing abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience supervising and leading a team
  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time to client locations domestically
