Position Overview

Talent International is happy to be paired with a top Fin. Tech company with a global presence. This New York based role will cover accounting operations for the NY office as well as the books for Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin. 

We are looking for an experienced staff accountant. This role calls for an ambitious, hardworking, talented individual who will have overall responsibility for accounting operations and financial reporting for the business operations of the organization. The individual will report to the COO, but will also be expected to work with parent company executives, investors and external auditors.
 
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Direct responsibility for accounting operations - i.e., accounts receivable, cash management, disbursements, and general ledger.
  • Preparation of monthly trial balance, financial statements, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Work with management for preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Review and improvement of all financial reporting systems to ensure a high level of internal control, accuracy and clarity.
  • Assist in selecting and implementing new state of the art accounting and financial reporting software.
  • Assisting the executive team to identify and deliver upon revenue and cost objectives.
  • Work with Corporate CFO and finance staff to coordinate the month-end and year-end closing and reporting.
 
Candidate Background & Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in all aspects of accounting. CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
  • International consolidation experience a plus.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills, any other European language is a plus.
  • Experience within an international environment or dealing with multiple countries professionally is preferred.
